We really tried going to the Farmer's Market, but the traffic on Friday night leaves a lot to be desired. We only made $20 each time we went, so we lost a lot of money.

There are some other avenues we'll try to get our gluten free cupcakes into public hands. Met with a nice owner of a coffee shop last weekend.

We will definitely be taking orders for delivery.

Also had contact with the health department so we know about labeling now. We make our cupcakes at home right now, in a kitchen that has not been inspected by the local health department.

If you would like to place an order please call: 417.823.9590 between 9am and 5pm.

T-shirts, bags, stickers, tent, table....

What we're calling the "works".

Our new stickers from Sundress Press Printing.

Chocolate.

The stickers came in today...super cute. I also made t-shirts yesterday and went to Sam's club to pick up bags and cellophane.
It's 9pm, and I'm getting ready to bake the chocolate muffins...my feet are killing me.

Oh, and I just spent $212 on a 10x10 canopy/tent. Hope I make my money back on it!!!

I'll try to take pics tomorrow of everything, I'll probably use my phone to do that...I'll see if I can upload from there...

I guess I should keep a running list of expenditures...so I know how much to charge for my items.

Check out the cute banner my friend made for me. She is a genius!

Tonight my friend, and babysitter, Kayla is coming over and we're going to make a large banner to hang on the front of the table. I'm going to use my current striped curtains as a ruffle to attach to a plain white cloth to cover the table. We'll just copy the banner from the blog and it's going to be big. We might embellish some aprons or t-shirts also.
I'm off to Hobby Lobby tonight to look for some bees to hang from the top of the tent and look cute.
I wish there was some way of displaying the muffins that would really be amazing...baskets are boring, trays are flat, tiered would be neat...but I don't have time to wander around flea markets looking for tiered shelving.
Kayla is excited about this. It's going to be great if we can make our products consistently wonderful. I told you my gluten free cookie will be in a magazine over the holidays didn't I?

If it gets really big we may have to go out to her church to bake so it'll get done faster. Even though it's like an hour drive from Springfield.
I also hope we can break even on the investment of everything...wouldn't that be nice.

Do you know the muffin man? I mean bee?

Today I found out I'm going to the farmer's market this Friday night in the old town square.
I am a bit surprised, so I'm scrambling around to get everything I need. It's hard to find resources in a new town. Plus it's not in California and I can't go to Smart & Final to get my supplies.
Kind of annoying.

Anyway, we're going to make gluten free chocolate cupcakes, gluten free vanilla cupcakes, and a signature muffin and possibly some cookies next time. I'm going to have buttercream frosting on the side too.

I'm picking up most of my stuff at Sam's Club for now. I've been asking around for a tent, so I don't have to buy one yet. I ordered some mixes on Amazon, but will have to get them at the local health food store for this week.

I don't imagine it's going to make a ton of money or anything. It's really for the experience.

I'll keep you updated!!!
